Catching Up!

The past two weeks have been so much slower compared to the crazy weeks we had in December. Last week we had abnormally cold weather! Anchorage Alaska was having a warmer week than we were! We were in the low single digits with a wind chill of negative numbers! So needless to say the girls and I stayed at home! Phillip had to fly out to Orlando the later part of the week and was thankful to thaw out a bit. Although it was back to reality when he had to trek across the airport parking lot in 9 degree weather at 9 o'clock at night!

Ashlyn and Aubrey are starting to interact more and more each day. Ashlyn keeps talking about what they will do when Aubrey starts to crawl, oh help me now! Aubrey is sitting in her Bumbo seat now and gets the biggest kick out of it. Ashlyn loves that she can sit up and play with her without me having to hold her in my lap.

Is that not the cutest thing in the world!

I keep catching this little stinker with her thumb in her mouth!

She normally sucks on a passie when she is tired but lately she seems to like her thumb just as well! I have caught her several times in her bed with her hand worked out of her Snugglie blanket with her thumb in her mouth. I'm not exactly thrilled about thumb sucking! Passies are so much easier to break, you just toss 'em and that's the end of the story. But, I do have to admit she does look pretty darn cute when she's doing it!

Ashlyn is still obsessed with dressing up. Yesterday we were getting ready for MOPS and I told her that after she ate her breakfast she needed to put her clothes on that I set out for her. (If we are going out in public that day I have to pick out her clothes before she does or who knows what she will come out with) She proceeded to tell me that she wanted to be a ballerina at MOPS and I explained that we couldn't wear dress up clothes to MOPS. She looked at me with absolute disgust. I could tell exactly what she was thinking "Dress Up Clothes!?!?! These are not Dress Up Clothes Mother!!"

So, I've saved the biggest news for last. No no no, we are not having another baby!

I have bid farewell to Facebook! Gasp! I know! This morning I deactivated my account. Facebook was consuming so much of my time, especially since I've had my iPod Touch. I am able to hop onto Facebook with the tap of my finger and catch up on what everyone is doing. I started to realize that I have more important things to do with my time. My girls are only going to be little and at home with me for several more years. I kept wondering why I wasn't able to keep up with my housework and laundry. It is harder to keep up with everything with two kids and when you are distracted by a lame social networking site it makes it even harder. I realized that my family needs my time and attention more than I need Facebook. I will miss seeing all my friend's pictures and sharing events that happen in my family but I feel this is what God is asking of me.
