Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! Friday Ashlyn and I dyed Easter eggs. She loves any type of craft or hands on activity so of course she had a wonderful time. She was so proud of them! Poor girl is just like her momma, neither one of us had a drop of dye on our hands when we were done, we don't like to have dirty hands!

Saturday we just spent the day together. We went to JcPenney to buy some much needed new luggage. They were having a big sale and we got a great deal. The set we had Phillip got as a graduation gift from his grandparents eleven years ago. Phillip hauled the luggage around with him when he was on the road with Waterdeep and now when he travels for work or I fly to my parents. It's too bad you pay so much for nice luggage only to fly with it once and have the baggage handlers in the airport tear it up.

Sunday morning we went to church to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior. It was neat seeing Ashlyn learn about Easter and try to wrap her little pre-school mind around it. We did the Resurrection Eggs together this year. There are twelve eggs and inside the eggs are a little item that goes along with the Easter story, telling the story from Jesus riding into Jerusalem to the tomb being empty.

She is getting so big. She is such a beautiful little girl!

After nap time we hunted Easter eggs in the back yard. It was so windy but the sun was out so it wasn't too bad.
