I've been busy...

*Life has been anything but normal lately. But I'm not complaining! It's my life and it's beautiful!

*Our house is still on the market. We have had a showing or two a week with great realtor feedback. It just hasn't been "the house" for the buyers that have walked through. We are being patient, it will sell soon enough.

*I have come to the conclusion that our family is just one big tornado. Our house will be immaculate when we leave the house for a showing. Within 5 minutes of us being back it's near disaster. Well, maybe not quite that bad but it seems that way.

*Phillip was out of town for 8 days doing a large show in Orlando. They were two guys down and Phillip was doing the work of three people. He worked just shy of 150 hours this last pay period. He was exhausted but everything fell into place perfectly and they had a great show.

*My hard working and talented hubby also got a promotion this week! Same department and team but he will be leading his team now. He is so stink'n good at what he does!

*The girls and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa a couple days while Phillip was gone. We were all sick with sinus problems and poor Aubrey ended the week with an ear infection. We weren't the best house guests while we were there. :(

*I am loving the warm weather! I had to make a shopping trip to buy Ashlyn some cooler clothes and wash a tub of hand me downs for Aubrey. It was close to 80 degrees Tuesday and the girls were in long sleeves and pants!

*Aubrey doesn't know any different now but when she gets older I'm going to hate buying Ashlyn all new clothes each season and then just dumping hand me down's on Aubrey. Girls love new clothes and I don't want Aubrey to feel like she gets the shaft, but there is no sense in letting all of Ashlyn's good hand me down's go to waste.

*Yesterday we were running errands and while I was at the bank tending to house business Aubrey noticed my feet. I had sandals that showed about 90% of my feet. She thought it was hilarious and kept playing with my toes! She's gotten used to me wearing warm winter shoes or socks I guess.

*My brother is getting married in a couple weeks. Ashlyn is going to be the flower girl. She is stoked! I told her the other day that we needed to practice and she told me she didn't need to practice, she already knows what to do. Sassy thing!

*Ashlyn is registered for kindergarten. Let's just change the subject...

*Phillip and I went on a date Saturday. The girls played at Makenna and Brynlee's house. I'm not sure who had more fun!

*While on our date I found a dress for my brothers wedding. It was so simple yet so pretty. I didn't even want to take it off the rack because the price tag made me nauseous but Phillip insisted I just try it on. Then he insisted he buy it for me. I love it! Oh, and it ended up being 30% off!

*Aubrey has a constant allergy runny nose right now. I am constantly wiping her nose! At lunch yesterday I caught her using her spoon to scrape the shot off her upper lip and eating it! Barf!!!

*A couple weeks ago Ashlyn wasn't feeling well on a MDO day. She wasn't sick just dizzy and yuck from sinus drainage. So, Aubrey went to school and Ashlyn ran errands with me. Apparently she just realized if she was sick she could hang out alone with me. She had many ailments this morning while getting ready for school!

*It's almost time to start packing this place up. We close May 1. After we get back in town from the wedding I'm hitting it hard core. Too bad we aren't military... I would love to have free packers and movers!

*My dad was in the military and I distinctly remember the movers unloading their truck into our new home in California and watching a round mirror that attaches to my mom's antique dresser go rolling off the truck onto the street. I can still hear my mom screaming! Something always gets broken. I cringe thinking about what broken item I'll end up with.

*I haven't gotten out my nice camera and taken pictures and played around with it in a while. I need to stop whipping out my phone to take pictures during the day. *Note to self*

*I think both the girls went through a little growth spurt. They seem bigger, taller, and have longer hair. They are both proud of their longer hair. Aubrey goes around saying "I Punzel, Daddy's E-Gene, and you mudder". For those that don't speak toddler that's "I am Rapunzel, Daddy is Eugene, and you are mother." She can't quite say the full alphabet without jumbling some letters but she knows her princesses. Thanks to her big sister! :)

*While at the park Aubrey, Ashlyn, and Makenna were walking along a little rock ledge. Aubrey was in front and I asked her if she was the leader. She said "no, I a princess". Oye!

*Did I mention Ashlyn went to the dentist last month? Probably not since I haven't blogged since last month. She did awesome and had perfect teeth! Aubrey was very curious. She stood on her tip toes next to the table and watched. And also asked a million questions. Very loudly, she talks a lot and very loud. "SHE BRUSHING ASHES TEETH?" "WHAT SHE DOING?" "ASHES WEARING GLASSES?" "WHAT SHE DOING?" "SHE BRUSHING ASHES TEETH?". All the hygienist stations are in one room. Everyone was snicking at Aubrey. Everyone always knows when Aubrey enters the room!

I've missed your blogs!! I know you have been busy because no new blogs. Aubrey will survive with hand me downs, with two big sisters, I didn't have a chance. I had my first new store bought dress my Sr year in High school. All my dresses were hand me downs or hand made. Keeps you thankful and humble.
I'm praying for that buyer to come in God's timing, so continue to trust, and don't get discouraged. So proud of you guys and congratulations to Phillip on his permotion! He deserves it!
