Happy Hump Day!

*Good gracious! How are we in the second week of February already!

*This month is turning out to be full of anticipation, decisions, and just plain business.
I pre-registered Ashlyn for kindergarten this week, next week she will have her kindergarten physical, the next week we will find out what school she will attend, and the next week I register her at her assigned school. I'm wondering if anxiety medications are given free to the mothers during the kindergarten physicals!
Phillip and I will celebrate our 11 year anniversary the end of the month. Seriously! How am I getting so stink'n old!?!
There are a lot of changes happening in Phillip's department at work. Good changes, but these changes have left Phillip doing the job of two people temporarily. He is amazing at handling stress. He is amazing at what he does. He is just all around amazing.

*We have had the craziest winter! This time last year we were coming out of a very snowy and hard winter month. The school kids had used all their inclement weather days and were making plans to make up days during spring break and into June. This year has been the mildest winter I've seen here. We've had a dusting once or twice but that's it. No icy roads, no snow boots, no sledding and snowmen, nothing!
Last week we went to the park and had a picnic! It was in the 60's and gorgeous!

*The girls like to shove themselves in this basket to watch cartoons. It's not a big basket either!

*The girls always ask Phillip to help them with their hair or their toy's hair. And his response is always "that's your momma's department". Well, last week he decided to attempt to honor their request and give Ashlyn's little doll a ponytail. Ashlyn ended up bringing the doll to me...

His plan was to wrap the dolls head and then slide the ponytail holder over her forehead and then onto her hair. I need to teach Daddy how to make a ponytail ASAP before he attempts this on the girls!!

*I'm pretty sure Daddy is going to stop letting us girls go to the "men stores" with him. We are quite the scene!

Y'all just make me laugh! Aubrey is getting to be a good playmate for Ashlyn now, that is so sweet. And then next year, poor Aubrey will have to play by herself. Hey y'all need to get a playmate for Aubrey! :) Can't believe our babygirl is going off to school next year!
