Snow Snow Go Away!

I'm now fully convinced that the Global Warming spill is a bunch of bologna, and any one who believes in it can come to Northwest Arkansas! Two weekends ago we had about 6-9 inches of snow and today we are getting more. There is about 3-4 inches already and it is still coming down hard. Thankfully there is not a lot of ice.

Last week my good friend Carmen and her little boy, Saul, came over for a visit. Saul is about 10 weeks older that Aubrey. This is the first time they have interacted with each other, as much as infants interact. Normally when we get together we meet for lunch and they are both in their car seats and Aubrey is sleeping. He is such a cutie! I don't believe in arranged marriages but I am all for arranged Prom Dates! I had to take their picture because if they do happen to marry, this would make a perfect picture at their wedding! Ha!

Last night for the Super Bowl we had our friends Seth and Lauren and their two kiddos over. Yes, the same Lauren that took the adorable pictures of the girls. We had a great time! They made me laugh so hard at their "newlywed" stories that my cheeks and stomach were hurting. Newlywed stories are always the best! Lauren brought 7 layer dip, one of my favorites, and we made fajitas and Hot Fudge Pudding Cake. The cake was so yummy! I got it off of my favorite recipe blogs, My Kitchen Cafe. You can find the cake recipe here. It has taken every ounce of will power not to sneak a bite off of the left overs every time I walked into the kitchen today. I guarantee Phillip and I will be having it for dessert after the girls go to bed tonight.

Saul sure looks like Carmen. He sure has grown since the last time I saw him. We're not having snow but sleet yesterday and rain, rain, rain today. That cake must really be good, because you usually don't like cake.
