A couple months ago my friend Beth make a yummy breakfast casserole for our MOPS group. It was a huge hit so she shared the recipe with everyone.
I've made it a couple times for our Worship Team at church and I think judging by the clean dish they leave behind, it's a hit there too. We have a wonderful ministry that I help with that provides a little snack for the Worship Team each Sunday. They are up there from 7am-1pm on Sunday's leading Worship for the three services so they need a little something in their stomachs to keep their energy level up.
Sausage Squares
1lb Breakfast Sausage
1 pkg Cream Cheese, cubed (I use the 1/3 less fat and it works great)
2 Tubes Crescent Rolls
1-2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Unroll one tube of crescent rolls and lay in 9x13 baking dish. Pressing the seams together and gently spreading it to cover the bottom of the dish.
Brown breakfast sausage in skillet until no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat. Turn heat down to low and add cream cheese. Mixing in until melted and combined with sausage.
Spread sausage mixture evenly over crescent roll in baking dish. Sprinkle sausage mixture with shredded cheese. Unroll the other crescent roll on top pressing the seams together and gently working to all edges of the pan.
Bake in 350' oven for 15-20 minutes until crescent roll is nicely browned.

Oh my! This sounds fantastic! I serve on the steering team for my MOPS and we're in charge of the first breakfast of the year. I know what I'm bringing!!!
Going to SD next week on a mission trip and I have volunteered in the kitchen! This one is a must for one of our breakfasts!
