I feel like I may never get back into the swing of things around here! We had so much going on before and during the holidays then Phillip was out of town and I was potty training Aubrey, yes both at the same time! So, with everything going on I was just staying afloat and all the "fluff", like blogging, was being pushed aside. Some of these iPhone pictures are a wee bit old but I wanted to have these memories on here!
And as a side note, the reason I have ten times more photos of Aubrey than Ashlyn is one is a HAM and the other ducks and hides when I whip out my camera or phone. :)
Aubrey wants to be just like her sister! She has started to wear dress up clothes constantly. And boy can she dream up some outfits!
There may be more than two skirts under that fairy dress...
And did you notice the stylish rain boots??
We took Pawpaw and Nana's puppies for a walk. Each girl was in charge of a puppy. Kristine had to hold on to the leash or Paisley would have drug Aubrey across the pavement.
Aubrey was sitting at the table eating her after nap snack while I was in the living room with Ashlyn. The left over birthday cake was a little too tempting...
She also managed to pick off all the little pink flowers.
Aubrey is almost officially potty trained! She will still have an accident each day but it's always while she is deep in play while I am busy cooking or picking up the house. She is staying dry while out and about and at church. Now if she will only poop in the potty!!
She used to despise her panties! That is not an understatement either. So when it was time to potty train for real I knew the first hurdle was going to be getting the stinker to wear her undies!
Whew, mission accomplished! She was loving them!
And yes we potty train in princess dresses!
If she had an accident and needed clean panties she would pick up a clean pair off the stack on the bathroom floor and look inside them to see if there were any uh, stubborn brown stains the washer couldn't get out if you know what I mean. If there was a little stain she would sniff them then ask "These stinky?". I would tell her "No, they are not stinky". Then she would ask "Just right?". And I would tell her "Yes, they are just right". Phillip says she picks her underwear out like a college guy!!
We decorated gingerbread cookies that Nana brought up on a cold morning. Ashlyn LOVED it! She made a mommy and a daddy. :)
It was a wee bit chilly when I ran errands during Mother's Day Out this week. And the wind was blowing about 20 MPH. Brrrr!
Have you had these? At our Walmart, they are on a little table in the produce section that has different salad toppings, dried fruits, jarred minced garlic and such. They are pretty tasty! Aubrey can't get enough of them. I may or may not have told her they were chips. Hey, they're crunchy like chips!
