Progress

This may look like an empty closet to you, but to me it looks like sweet success! It has been a long process clearing out the office since I only have a small window each day to work on it and often have to have Phillip's ok to toss things. Ashlyn's exact words when she walks into this room with piles of things everywhere are "wow, wats dat", so you can only imagine what kind of help she would be. We took a load of things to Helping Hands this morning and it felt so good to get things out of the house. We have a storage shed in our backyard that houses the mower and Phillip's outdoor tools. It is a small shed and only has room for these items. We are wanting to move some things out of the garage and also some things that were in the office that we are keeping but don't need in the house, so we are getting a larger storage building. A guy is coming this week to build the shed here on site.

Ashlyn has become quite the little stylist. She changes her clothes on a daily basis and always comes out of her room from nap time with a different outfit on. And yes, she thinks she looks good!

This is actually a dress tucked into her shorts!

This is a one piece short set and she has another pair of shorts underneath.

Her vocabulary is booming. She makes me laugh multiple times a day with the things she says. She is really big on using little phrases she hears us say and it makes it even funnier when it doesn't quite go with our conversation. Her big one is "It sure does". Yesterday at breakfast she was asking me where Grandma was (she always asks where the main people in her life are throughout the day, I guess her mind is learning that there are things going on outside of her little world) so I told her she was at her house. She some how threw McDonald's into the conversation and I asked her if Grandma takes her to McDonald's and she answered so matter of factly "of course". Silly girl!

I made a wreath for our front door the other day. Yes, I did that during nap time instead of working on Aubrey's room, another reason it has taken me so long to get it finished, I get side tracked. I didn't have a spring wreath for our front door and it was looking rather bare. I got the wreath, ribbon, and flowers all half off at Hobby Lobby, or "Hobby Hobby" as Ashlyn calls it, for about $12.

This is why Phillip is not the least bit disappointed about having another girl, he and Ashlyn are best buds. She loves to do anything Daddy is doing!

Resistance is Futile....
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That'll be cool to watch the construction as it happens in your backyard. Speaking of construction, that wreath looks LEGIT. $12?? You should start cranking them out and eBaying them to less-crafty moms for $90.
