:N0

a negative used to express dissent, denial, or refusal, as in response to a question or request

Aubrey has perfected NO. It's always so cute the first couple times they use it in correct context. We even ask her questions just to make us laugh, "Aubrey, is mommy a good cook" "Aubrey, do you love daddy". But then it becomes the answer to everything...

*If you sing "If you're happy and you know it". She will say "no" over and over.
*I worked in the nursery at church and was in Aubrey's class. Any time another child crawled over to my lap she would crawl over to me lickety split and tell the baby no.

*If another child tried to take her toy in the nursery she would swing her hands in front of her and holler "no". Those second children know how to protect their goods! Ha!
*If we try to make her practice walking she will pick up her legs and say "no".
*If I try to spoon feed her the answer is no. She wants the spoon.

And thus begins the first signs of independence! to a question or request

Aubrey has perfected the word NO.
No is the answer for anything.
