Eight Wonderful Years!

Today is mine and Phillip's eight year wedding anniversary! I am so grateful that God gave me such a wonderful man to call my husband! He is so patient, talented, and loves life. He loves and accepts me for who I am despite all my faults and for that I am thankful.

Ashlyn seems to have had a potty training break through! Last night while I was washing dishes she comes around the corner carrying her little bucket from her potty seat and said "ook mommy, I tee tee". I just about lost it! Then when I was getting her bath water ready she stripped down and went in the potty again. I was then shocked again this morning when she asked for help to get her jammies off so she could use the potty, then again by herself while I was drying my hair. She only had one accident today, actually I don't even consider it a real accident. We were out running errands and she stayed dry to the very end. We were at Subway eating lunch and she got a worried look on her face and said "bathroom" but by time we got out of our seats and across the room she had already wet her pull-up. She initiated all of her trips to the potty today! I only told her to sit on the potty twice, when we were about to leave the house and right before nap time. I was in complete shock the whole day! I could tell she was so proud of herself, it was rather cute to see her prance around the house in her shirt and big girl panties. All day I kept thinking I shouldn't get my hopes up because this is just too easy but as the day progressed and she kept going all by herself I started to think maybe this was going to stick.

It was like this with Emily. Once she was ready, we had her potty trained in a matter of days. Aren't they just amazing!
