With that said, Saturday (while I was still feeling perky) I decided it was time for Potty Training Boot camp. So the past five days we have been potty training. We have had something during the day every day since then so today was the first day of staying home and getting down and dirty, no pun intended. This morning I woke up and wanted to kick myself in the behind!! What was I thinking! I didn't get anything checked off my to do list, except exercise and take a nap because of the insane number of trips to the potty. Although I was thrilled this afternoon to see a little light at the end of the tunnel when Ashlyn used the potty 4 times in a row.
So Ashlyn's "ig irl panties", as she calls them, are freshly washed and dried waiting for another round tomorrow. And yes, we do go through all of them in one day!

Keep it up! She'll get it soon!
Oh my goodness...how many pairs is that?!?! I DREAD even the thought of potty training Makenna....UGH!
That's a lot of laundry! I can't decide if Madelyn is ready yet. Saturday I was changing her diaper and she said poopoo. Last time she did that, she had a poopy diaper minutes later for me to change. This time I decided to sit her on the potty and see what she did. Sure enough, after a lot of grunting from the two of us, she pooped in the potty!! Daddy joined us in the bathroom and we cheered for her and made a big deal about it. Part of me wants to give it a try and part of me says, "are you crazy, she's not even 20 months old." I'm afraid she will decide she hates the potty when I make her go so often. I saw a potty watch the other day for the child to wear when they are potty training. You set it to play the "potty song" every 30, 60 or 90 minutes. When their watch starts playing music, they know it is potty time. I'm not sure if Madelyn would keep it on, but I thought it was smart idea. :)
