Everybodys working for the weekend

It's been a fast week. I'm sure having Phillip home Monday helped in speeding the week along.

I have some sweet pictures of our Monday outing. We decided to go to a walking trail just north of our house and enjoy the nice cool weather. The girls love it because there is also a little dog park where they can watch the dogs play and also play in a little stream along the way.

We originally planned on taking a picnic lunch but it was really windy and it's the start of allergy season again and Phillip was suffering. The walk was just the right amount of time though, the girls took great naps. :)

Tuesday we met Beth, Makenna, and Brynlee at Chick-fil-a. Ashlyn and Makenna love going to Chick-fil-a together and have been playing in the play place together since they were in diapers. Now they are taking their baby sisters along! Aubrey is really brave at parks and play places. She was up the steps and flying down the slide at the play place before I even knew what was going on. She's getting too big!

Wednesday we stayed home and cleaned and did laundry. I also hung things back on my walls in the living room. I'm wanting to change up my walls a bit. I'm keeping most of the things I've had up just moving some stuff around and adding new things. I still haven't made up my mind on what I want those "new" things to be. I know more pictures of the girls and us but also some more things. I'm wanting to incorporate some light blue into the room to tie in with the rug and throw pillows but I'm so indecisive. I also got my curtains back up. They were filthy so they went to the cleaners last week. I was kind of embarrassed when I dropped them off because they were so dusty. Ick! I'm sure they've seen worse though!

Thursday I ran a bunch of errands. It was wonderful to do them without the girls. I was able to get my hair cut, go to the cleaners, get gas, browse leisurely through Hobby Lobby, and make a mad dash through Target all unassisted. I am so thankful for MDO. The girls love it too! Aubrey skipped happily down the hall to her class and walked right in without looking back. I was so surprised and happy! Normally it takes her a couple times to get used to a new place without crying.

And that brings us to today. We spent the day playing at home and then met Daddy for a quick dinner out before he had to go help with a rehearsal. After dinner the girls and I went to Petco. I needed to make a quick stop at Staples and Petco was right next door so we went in to see the kittens, birds, fish, and reptiles. We would pop in there every once in a while when Ashlyn was little but this was Aubrey's first time. The poor kittens! Aubrey was so excited she could hardly stand it. She would squeal at the kittens and put her arms in trying to pet them. Thank goodness they were nice kittens and stayed crouched in fear over in the corner instead of trying to claw at the chubby hand invading their cage!

I am so thankful that I am able to stay home with my sweet babies and spend their day's with them! I can't think of a better job I'd rather do. The pay is stinky but it sure does make me happy! ;)
