Twas the day before...

My sweet Aubrey girl turns two tomorrow! I can't believe it, I really can't. I've been trying to figure out where the time has gone and how this happened so quickly!

This year we decided not to do parties for the girl's birthday. We want them to feel like they are special, appreciated, and loved without all the material possessions birthday parties bring. We want so badly for our girls to learn early on that their worth is not wrapped up in what they possess, what they wear, or how popular they are. Their value and beauty comes from Christ, from within! This doesn't mean parties are banned, we just feel like every other year is the best for our family.

This morning we met up with several of our sweet friends at the park to wish Aubrey a happy birthday. It was beautiful outside! It was perfect weather for playing outside!

Aubrey thinks she can do whatever her sister does in the "big kid" area and it makes me a nervous wreck!

I made cookies to take to the park with the letter "A" and the number "2" on them. I have been itching to decorate cookies for a while. They are far from perfect but I had so much fun making them! I'm trying to think of an excuse to make some more. :)

Ashlyn was rather confused as to why I put a 2 on the cookies. Aubrey is still 1, she won't be 2 until Thursday! Funny girl!
