Two

Sweet Aubrey Girl,

I can't believe you are two years old today. You are such a precious part of our family and make my heart melt daily. You have the sweetest personality and love to snuggle and give kisses. It makes my day when you put your two little hands on my cheeks and turn my head to meet yours so you can give me a sweet little kiss.

You are starting to find your independence and want things done your way. You are very determined and won't give in, I pray that you keep this wonderful quality God has instilled in you. There have been a couple nights you go to bed without eating because you absolutely refuse to eat what mommy made for dinner. You would rather be hungry than cave in and eat something you don't want.

You are a big momma's girl and I love it! You're perfectly content resting on my hip or snuggling in my lap. You'll even let me hold you like a baby and snuggle you close while you suck your thumb. But, when the garage door opens in the evening and Daddy pulls in the drive everything in your world stops for him! You love to see your daddy and ask about him often while he is at work.

You think Ashlyn hung the moon and love to play with her. You will sit next to her and watch her so you can copy her every move. She loves to get you dressed in the morning and you will patiently let her and will giggle the whole time. You two will play together for long periods of time. Your favorite things to play are dress up, Little People, doll house, and kitchen.

You have grown and developed leaps and bounds this year. You love to talk! You say many many things and talk in short incomplete sentences but some of our favorite things you say are...

Dad: Dad or Da-ee
Mom: Momma or Mom
Ashlyn: Ashes
Aubrey: Aubee
Nana: Nana
Pawpaw: Pawpaw
Grandma: It was "Apoco" but now you say Grandma
Grandpa: Grandpa
Not yet: Na et
Just a minute: A minute (while holding your hand out)
Napkin: Nak-kik
Pancakes: Kancakes
Snack: Nack
Lunch Box: Pak-Pak
When you are excited you squeal "Woo Hoo"
When you are looking for something you say "...(item)... where are you" in a sing song voice
Your favorite friends to talk about are Saul, Sophie, and Boston (Bosses)

You are quite the petite little thing just like your momma and sister were (are). We go to your well baby appointment tomorrow to get all your measurements but I know you are not much more than 20 pounds. I just love how tiny you are, it makes me laugh. There is just so much personality wrapped up in that little body of yours! You wear a range of 12 months to 18 months clothes, it just depends on what it is and what brand. You wear a size 5 shoe. You wear a size 4 diaper but I bet you'll be out of those quickly. You love to go potty and will go multiple times a day when I take you. You have even asked to go several times. I am holding off potty training for another week and a half to allow our schedule to slow down where we can stay home and "practice". You actually hate big girl panties which causes a slight problem.
*Edit: You weighed 20lbs 7.5oz and were 32 3/4 inches long at your well baby check up*

You are still a very selective eater. You love breakfast food, think lunch is alright, and dislike most dinner foods. You love scrambled eggs, pancakes and waffles, oatmeal, toast, biscuits, bacon, muffins, cheese, yogurt, ham, pb&j, macaroni and cheese, chick-fil-a nuggets, broccoli, asparagus, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, carrots, cucumber, strawberry, banana, peaches, grapes, blue berries, apples, apple sauce, crackers, bagels, apple juice, and milk. Oh, and you inhale any kind of dessert!

Aubrey, you are such a beautiful girl, both inside and out. God has big plans for your life and I am so excited to see those plans unfold in the years to come. You are a special gift to our family and I can't imagine what life would be like without you. I love you so much and nothing will ever change that!

Love,
Mommy
