Aubrey was so excited that she had a "pack-pack" or better known to everyone else as a lunch box. It was a bit heavy for her and she kept saying "heavy, heavy" but refused to put it down. I tried to take pictures of the girls before heading to school but Aubrey was too fascinated with her "pack-pack" to pose!
Talking about "Ashes pack-pack"

Ashlyn walked right into her class and was thrilled to see many of her little girl friends from last year! Aubrey did great getting settled into her room until her teacher took her from my arms and she realized she was staying with out me. After I went and payed I walked past her room and didn't hear her crying so I think she settled down quickly.
When I picked them up they were chattering non-stop telling me about their day. And Aubrey told me a dozen times she ate ham in her "pack-pack". :)
So, now to the not so pleasant part of MDO. Wednesday I taped off the living room and hallway and had a bit of time in my day left so I cut around the baseboards and door frames. I realized the color I got looked very light, almost white, in the room. It matched the swatch perfectly and the swatch looked darker in the room, but the actual paint was very light. So I took the two gallons of unopened paint and asked the paint guys to darken it up for me. Which they were happy to do.
Fast forward to Thursday morning. I spent the entire MDO morning painting, all four hours. Before I left I thought the area that I painted with the second can looked a smidge darker, not much but noticeable. So, I left to get the girls and thought when I got back it would all dry completely and it would look good.
Nope.
I wanted to puke, cuss, kick the wall, and all other kinds of non-christian behavior. Instead I called Phillip and vented. I had now spent several hours cutting around everything with the wrong color and now four hours rolling every inch of the walls to only have to start over!
So, after nap time we headed back to the paint department to fix the problem. Long story short they weren't able to mix paint to match it exactly so I was sent home with two more gallons, that match, to repaint my house. They did give me money back for one of the gallons for all the problems. Too bad I can't use that $2o to pay someone to repaint for me...
So my home looks like this...
All the furniture is in the middle of the room, including the TV and speakers. The rest of the rooms are a mess because all my time has been dedicated to the painting project. I'm tired, I'm sore, I'm cranky, and I'm tired of painting. But we can't live this forever so I'll tackle the walls again today. We'll see how much I can accomplish with my "helpers".
Oh, and I still have to paint the bathroom.

But at least Aubrey had her "pack pack":)
I am so sorry! I know that is very disappointing!
