*The cashier at the Service Desk at Walmart asked me if I was a teacher. When I said no he said "oh, you look like a teacher. I guess it's your haircut." What!?!?!
*Yesterday Aubrey hit Ashlyn upside the head and had to go to time out. Today Ashlyn came and told me that Aubrey hit her. So I went and asked Aubrey if she hit Ashlyn and she said "Yes. Aubee time out?". I told her yes and she marched her little self over and put her nose in the corner. These little burgers are smarter than you think!
*I got the whole living room and hallway painted this weekend. I love the color, Coffee with Cream. I think I'll tackle the bathroom in a couple days. The house was an absolute disaster during the process. After church this morning I whipped this place into shape so I could relax with my sweet family the rest of the weekend.
*Aubrey has a four year old attitude trapped inside a 23 month old body. Well, technically her body's about the size of an 18 month old but that's beside the point. She has learned to cross her arms and huff or stomp her foot when she doesn't get her way. I'm not sure where she learned that. It's funny but not so funny at the same time.
Oh yeah, Nana, your comment about me paying for my raising? I prefer to say I'm paying for their Daddy's raising! :)
*I've decided not to do birthday parties for the girls this year. We're only going to do them every other year and the "off year" we'll do a special family outing. I want them to feel loved, special, and honored on their birthday without thinking they need a party and lots of presents. I'm having a hard time finding a weekend to do Aubrey's special outing. Phillip's weekends are all booked from here on out this month. I may have to change up my original plans...
*The girl's school is peanut free this year. I'm going to have to be creative with their lunches! These girls are creatures of habit when it comes to their lunches. I'm not complaining though! When Ashlyn was a baby our previous church treated Ashlyn's allergy like a joke. They lied about rules they laid out for her room to protect her only to find dairy laden snacks strewn across the floor one day when picking her up. It's best if I just stop there...
Anyways, I understand it's for safety reasons and I'll gladly keep our PB&J's at home. :)
*This weekend was the Hogs opening game of the season. The radio was on and they were calling the Hogs. Whoo Pig Sooie, for you non Arkansans. I asked Aubrey if she could call the Hogs and she said "woo hoo, shew wee". The girls got too much Aggie blood in her to be converted. And don't worry Uncle Aaron and Kristine, we don't wear pigs on our chest in this house! ;)
*We're making a big dent on our beef in the freezer. (We split a steer with friends in October last year) I think we still have about 60 more pounds of ground beef to eat up though. That's a lot of tacos and meatloaf!! I would definitely split a steer again only next time I would like to choose our cuts of meat. There were way to many good cuts that were ground up.
*After this weekend the pools will be closed. It's always a sad day for me. I love summer. I have a strong dislike for winter.
*Phillip smoked a pork shoulder this weekend in the Green Egg. I think it's the most tender one he's cooked so far.

Becca, a 2 year old isn't going to care wheather she has a party ot not. Don't go through all the trouble just to please everyone else. Make cupcakes and just make it a special day for the family.
I'm so glad that you have your living room back! I can't wait to come up and see it! Hopefully next month sometime. Keep up the good work and take each day as it comes as a special day to be a stay at home mom with those precious baby girls.
